The other semi-final, which was actually the first semi’ was between England and South Africa, where South Africa knocked out three times champion in one sided match, beating England by 125 runs. It was very easy win for England, but after that South Africa got the momentum, and took the revenge in semi-final, and made their way to the finals.
Final: India vs South Africa
Now the time for Final, India and South Africa met final time in the tournament on November 2nd in Navi Mumbai. India came to the final with momentum and after beating the 7 times champion Australia, and while batting first India scored 298/7 in 50 overs in this big final.
South Africa started well, and match was open until 40th over, but at end India managed to win the final by very good margin of 52 runs, and lifted their first ICC title.
